Europe Podcast Interview with Ambistream

Web Summit Interview: How Ambistream Is Rewriting the Future of Streaming Media. Recorded on Wednesday, November 12th 2025.

On day two of Web Summit, Michael sat down for a quick interview about Ambistream, the social TV platform that lets people create and remix their own streaming channels using human editing and AI.

They talked about how Hollywood is shifting, why digital art is getting commoditized, and how the creator economy needs better tools to track human vs. AI contributions. Ambistream explained how they're working with museums, cultural institutions, and early creators to test interactive, button-driven media that changes in real time. This is part of its 2nd MVP phase rollout, and pilots are happening in Lisbon and beyond.

They also discussed Europe’s role in AI regulation: the AI Act, Digital Services Act, and GDPR, and why building with compliance in mind from the start makes Ambistream easier to scale internationally. The interview wrapped with a look at what’s next: Ambistream's patents for AI content-producer agents that can analyze edits, generate media segments, and predict what people want to experience inside digital environments.

The big question now is where users draw the line between AI-made content and human-curated channels, or whether the future blends both.
